Ely Presbyterian Church School is an independent Christian school which is governed and maintained solely by the church at Ely.
We aim to provide a Christian education to our children that will prepare them for life and that is consistent with God’s command that they should be taught in such a way that they might “keep the way of the Lord”.
The School was first opened in May 1974, with eleven pupils. Apart from a short time, it has been kept open, by the grace of God and the faithfulness of the church membership, ever since. In May 2013, the school was formally re-opened, following a successful registration inspection by Estyn. In January 2014, the school also passed its post registration visit. In 2016 it passed an Estyn Inspection, the full report is available for download on this page.
The school is governed by the elders of the church and all of our staff are, currently, members of this local church. Most work as volunteers and receive no pay at all.
